Wow. I... did not know insane asylums had beauty salons in them. That would almost be disturbing on a few levels. Gorgeous work. I especially like the crack in the wall at the very center... it almost divides the blue-painted sanity from the insanity of the situation left there. Bravo.

your all asylum photos are fantastic, like unreal....
especially this one has a balanced composition ana the old soul of the place is clearly broad.

Wow. Surreal and amazing. The contrast - almost an irony - of the salon being in an asylum is crazy. There are only two asylums near me - one is for sale, probably going to be used as offices. It was an old women's asylum. The other is the old psych ward of the VA hospital, and is still considered government property even though it's basically useless - they can't tear it down due to the asbestos content. My friends and I are planning on sneaking in sometime in the future, taking precautions not to get sick, of course.

I digress - my point was that there are not many asylums or hospitals near where I live, and as such, your gallery is a joy to me, because I enjoy the haunting beauty of these buildings very much, and this is a beautiful shot. The crack in the wall shows a nice division between the still-painted side and the side where it has all chipped off. Very interesting. ^^

the men all played along to marching drums;
and boy, did they have fun behind the sea.
they sang, 'so our matching legs are marching clocks.
and we're all too small to talk to god.
yes, we're all too smart to talk to god.'

so sad and intriguing at the same time
almost like the colours are just too garishly bright for such a sad scene
:iconjustsupergirl:
i like it.
